Experience a rare and elegant expression of Grenache from the heart of Simondium. The SANNIESRUST Grenache Noir 2023 is a limited-production wine, with

only 1200 bottles produced , born from a special bushvine vineyard planted in the late 1990s. This wine continues the van der Merwe family's legacy of honouring the land, revealing a pure, vibrant, and silky-smooth character that is both sophisticated and immensely enjoyable.

  • Nose: The bouquet is an enticing mix of fresh wild berries, intertwined with the grape's typical earthy and spicy notes.
  • Palate: Juicy red fruit follows through onto the palate, which is carried by beautifully silky tannins from front to back.

Our Philosophy & Craft: Crafted with Precision and Passion Our commitment to authentic winemaking shines in this Grenache. Grapes were harvested by hand before undergoing a spontaneous natural fermentation in modern, egg-shaped tanks—a technique that enhances the wine's texture and purity. We included 20% whole bunches to add layers of spice and perfume. The wine was then matured for 10 months in seasoned 3rd-fill French oak barrels and bottled unfiltered to capture its true essence.
